ABOUT EXPO
Located approximately 380km north of Perth, and 100km south of Geraldton, the town of Mingenew hosts the McIntosh & Son Mingenew Midwest Expo. Inaugurated in 1983, the Expo was initiated by Mingenew Lions Club member Bob Paskins. Paskins’ vision was to provide a venue for businesses to exhibit to the Midwest regional and remote communities, providing vital information and updates to those involved in the industry.
Celebrating its 41st year in 2024, the event is the largest agricultural field day in Western Australia's Mid West. The not-for-profit event is now overseen by a skills-based, voluntary Board of Management who have a clear vision for the future of farming and a strong focus on agricultural innovation and technology. It showcases the future of farming and agricultural technologies and plays host to some of the biggest names in the industry, providing an exciting insight into what the agricultural sector has to offer and highlights the technologies of tomorrow.
Over 4 decades of Mingenew Midwest Expo wouldn't be possible without GREAT people leading the way.
Our Board of Management is made up of individuals who call Mingenew home.
Along side our dedicated board we have 2 enthusiastic staff members and
a community filled with amazing volunteers.
Each year 100s of volunteers rise to the challenge, to assist us in providing what is the largest agricultural show in the Midwest.
Expo aims to distribute funds raised at the McIntosh & Son, Mingenew Midwest Expo back into the community. In 2021, the MMWE Board of Management directed funds towards to victims of Cyclone Seroja by making a $50,000 donation to the Lord Mayors Distress Relief Fund.
